I have eaten meat for seventy five years and never had inflammation of any kind.

Some veggies cause me problems though, especially that veggie meat with has inflamed my bowels when I ate it...

Sounds about right to me, when other foods, or food like items are removed meat digests well and provides positive health outcomes. When those of a differing opinion cite epidemiology numbers (which never meet scientific thresholds) they always blame meat, despite flour, grains, ultra processed items and the like being on the plate. They have a choice to review what the thumping majority of reversed Type 2's do, i.e. preference animal fats and meats, with less fruit and veg and view the results.

It is really interesting to me that many kids have to be cagoled into eating vegetables (the air plane trick, remember that). I have never heard of a toddler refusing meat (although later under of the influence of "bambi" type cartoon movies and similar, there can be physiological change, maybe leading to trying alternative eating habits).
In my experience of feeding my 5yo, 3yo and 11 month old, everyone loves meat but if grain foods are on offer, they become somehow addicted and will go for those first. So we will have meals in stages. Yesterday's lunch was sautéed ox heart and liver all by itself. They ate it all.

I've heard various people opine that the very fact of eating anything causes inflammation. I think breathing does too :D

I eat nothing but animals and stuff that comes out of them. I haven't eaten a plant of any kind in 11 months. I've never been healthier, happier or in better shape. It's the 'harmless' plants with their chemical defence systems that I'm wary of..

Just as well the animals are eating the plants on your behalf.

Hope you don't mean the stuff that comes out of them once they're done eating..

This is interesting at around 300,000 cases a year. But does this count? It is an unnatural intervention. The thrust of where I am coming from, is when a child is born, what happens with the ability to digest meat across the globe for differing populations.
It doesn't really count, unless you are unlucky enough to be bitten. I hope ticks can't be used as a bioweapon to induce veganism... :wacky: Right now though the current methods of persuasion seem to be fairly effective. How many saw Earthlings and never looked back I wonder..

Sister in law went to the States a couple of years ago got bit by a tick ended up having emergency treatment for Lyme disease took her ages to recover.

She doesn't seem to have any problem with meat though.

NHS advice To reduce the risk of being bitten

cover your skin while walking outdoors and tuck your trousers into your socks
use insect repellent on your clothes and skin – products containing DEET are best
stick to paths whenever possible
wear light-coloured clothing so ticks are easier to spot and brush off

I'll just go with a bit of common sense and several million years (Who's counting?) of meat and fat being consumed as the main dietary source (that has got us to the point) is a good thing. I don't need a study of any kind to know that a food source that is nutrient dense, contains all the essentials is not harmful.

I will however add that eating plants isn't bad... I love coffee.

Like @Tipetoo I've eaten meat for well over 70 years without any issues. However if I had any serious concerns over any adverse reaction that I personally might have to any food, I'd simply (rightly or wrongly!) exclude it from my diet - which I did with the few (non meat) foods that triggered debilitating migraines. My body - my choice. Simples.
