I seem to recall somewhere that gliclizide can spead up islet cell death in LADA diabetes. It feels like that is the case for me.

My wife finds that upsetting as she's been saying She thinks I've been moody for years... Of wait, that's double oo not MODY....

Was on Glic for a month before my pancreas gave up the goose. Now on insulin and have been for 9 days.

I think we are on the same boat! On insulin since 15th april... which insulin are you on and how many unit did you inject per day? Im currently on the long acting insulin 10 to 14units per day (6/7 first thing in morning and 4/5 before dinner)

Wow, thats a lot of insulin. But i think its good, my BG spikes up to 17mmol once or twice after lunch cause i dont have any fast acting insulin.

For me, Milk, porridge is a no go! Alcohol makes my BG go lower - which is a good news!

Guys, do you count carbs intake per day? If yes how many grams? I'm staying around 100 per day.

Yes I'm trying to, 143g yesterday. Probably still too high, but taking every day as it comes!
