Before I knew this site I used to read from the american diabetes association, but I can't find the link
They said that lot of salt are not good for diabetes ,I know it rise blood pressure.so does blood pressure effect BS or jus for complications ?? @tim2000s

Is it just that they are quoting the mantra. Low salt, low fat and give up smoking. You are supposed to eat up to 6gms of salt a day.

Not sure if high bp effects bg levels, but anyone with diabetes should try and keep their bp under control to avoid blood vessel damage, especially those who already have complications like diabetic retinopathy.

Nope. Or certainly not that I am aware of. Not sure how one would check that.

Diabetes increases the risk of cardiovascular disease, and so does high blood pressure, and many people have both conditions. Ensuring we don't consume too much salt is part of preventing cardiovascular disease.
