Doxazosin and blood sugar

Hi. Anyone on the drug Doxazosin or have experience of it. I have been on 2mg daily for a shirt while now and notice my blood sugars at the end of the night are up a bit. I take it along with some other meds I need around 10pm. I am usually testing my levels post meal about an hour or so later (as I eat late and tend to take closer to 3 hours than 2 to get my levels back down after my meals) but it appears to be spiking a little...Anyone aware of this drug causing the blood sugar to increase ?

Hi @pleinster - I've been on Doxazosin for a number of years and take daily = 2mg am and 2mg pm and have not had any raised blood sugars.

Thanks, @Liam1955 - very helpful. Must be the slight increase in carbs - hmmpfff...thought I was getting away with a few chips !

I have been taking 8mg Doxazosin for the last 7-8 years and have noticed no increases in blood sugar.
I also take them around 10pm every night.
