Edit to add: Ma;hotrra is behind the Pioppi diet, which is an LC variant of the Mediteranean diet. He has a vested interest in the Low Carb debate. I am following Pioppi myself. The town of Pioppi is where Ancel Keys lived and wrote his treatise on the Low Fat diet.
