Dry Mouth

when I was diagnosed with type 2, my nurse said I had to have an injection due to being asthmatic and it would lead to my throat feeling dry. She was correct, my throat is almost always dry at night and the only thing that seems to releive it is an apple or some sparkiling mineral water. I do not have a problem during the day however......any thoughts/help welcome

have you tested your blood sugar when your mouth feels dry?

It may be that your blood sugars are higher at night than the day time... a dry mouth is a symptom of elevated blood sugars.

Hi Sugarboy, i also suffer from a dry mouth, worse at night. It's very unpleasent isn't it. I thought it was my metformin tablets but if your not on any it must be something else.
