Dupuytren’s contracture and Type 2
Had a very "interesting" chat with the diabetic lead at the GP. On my left hand I have what was once thought to be a trigger pinky and overnight the other week, my third finger went into the same position and is stuck. On the scheduled zoom call, I mentioned it, showed her my hand, stuck...www.diabetes.co.uk
Hi Alan6240Hi
Has anybody had Dupuytren's contracture?
I had a lump in centre of my palm so had it checked and the doctor said it is Dupuytren's contracture. This is when one or more fingers bend in towards your palm.
I have been referred to the Musculoskeletal service.
Many thanks
Thanks. There is nothing wrong atm but obviously as time goes by I will need treatment. So I have been referred and have to contact them next to book an appt.Hi Alan6240
i have Dupuytrens in both hands. I has been there for many years, long before I was diagnosed with Type 1. Mine has been slow in developing I had
needle fasciotomy in one hand and injections in the other one. The treatments have had some effect.
Hope you get some help from Musculoskeletal Sevices
Hi sufc22ukHi, I had it on both bands, and had then operated on last year (privately). Both huge success so highly recommend the leap of faith.View attachment 61896View attachment 61897
