Type 2 dvla and trulicity

i have been recently started on the trulicity pen once weekly injection alongside my 500 mg daily metformin have contacted dvla to let them know of my change in medication.i now have to fill in a questionaire and get my doctor to do the same.they are also asking if i test my blood sugars regularly.and to sign a declaration that i will test twice daily.something i have never done before.just wonder if anyone else has had these problems ialso have a class2 hgv licence
 
@bribern2 With a Class 2 licence the medical standards are stricter, but with a non-insulin injectable drug the standards do not include a requirement to test your blood as far as I am aware. It is usual to have to complete a long form, and it is important that every question is answered correctly as when the form is received at DVLA it is entered into their systems on a question by question basis, and certain answers will result in an automatic rejection or referral to the DVLA Medical team.

Thank you for that.what I am concerned with is I have been asked in the questionaire is if I check my bloods twice daily if not am I prepared to do this.as you say I didn't think this nessesary.or is this a general question meaning if instructed to do so by your doctor.as yet I have never had a problem with hypers or hypos.
 
Have read all these but still does not answer the question are these drugs glinides or sulphonylureas.because if you are on sulphonylureas or glinides it alters how you test your bloods if you drive Hgv.and you have to sign a declaration on dvla medical form.thanks for your reply..

You should answer the question truthfully.

DVLA need to know the answer, or they would not be asking.
