Finally got the dreaded letter telling me I have had my driving licence restricted to a 3 year licence. However it has taken them 10 months to sort it out, I started on insulin in September last year, and told DVLA as soon as I got put on insulin, and then I had my LGV revoked in December and finally got told today that I have just been issued a 3 year licence and can I send my old licence to them to alter things however I sent that back to them in December, so the question is how long did it take them to sort your licence out

Type 1 diagnosed, forms filled in, licence altered, old one returned & new 3 year licence issued ... within 6 weeks.

From originally telling them and sending old licence off about 5~6 weeks, just sent renewals yesterday so wil wait and see how that goes.

Sent mine away 2 months ago, still waiting. When I sent an email to them after 6 weeks I was basically told that due to a backlog of applications they hadn't even assessed my form yet....they were quick enough to cash the cheque I had to send with my application for change of address and new photo. They cashed that in a week! :-(

To be fair that sounds about for DVLA

10 months but that was for LGV to be fair. Renewal due in 3 months time so fingers crossed this time. LGV license is only valid for 1 year !!

To be fair I have to wait to get my lgv back and then that's another fight but with the dcpc and ADR all due this year and I have to pay for them myself I'm not sure if I'm going to bother to be honest mo

HGV has been revoked and it is normally a year licence

Sent my form's off correctly over 3 weeks ago .
So I 'thought' at the time was a simple licence renewal form .

Recieved a letter last week asking me to complete
the diabetic/medical application form in - they had 'forgotten to include this in' "tut"

So filled this in plus wrote a note grumbling over this NOT
being included in with my forms in the first place :banghead: .

Posted all back to swansea last weekend .
Still awaiting the outcome since ...
Licence renewal is due in sept - so hope I am sorted 'soon' .
