Hi all i wondered if any of you veterans here had any educational links regarding diabetes?

So far have been given some great links on other threads and enjoyed the read, so am looking for more to help further expand my knowledge.

Knowledge is power! :-D

Well wasnt this productive lol..

Last post and removal of app! As this is going nowhere. Instead of the passing of correct educational information this forum seems to be full of forum hermits that desperately need an update on their own information, and also need to loose some of the ego that goes with it. I would strongly advise anyone to seek information elsewhere. And to carry on the learning process with valid information gained through studies, and medical professionals.

I would also like to add that i have noticed a lot of social banding within these forums, and in certain situations where a user has been ignored because they did not fit into the 'click'

Well I'm for the person who doesn't fit in, as i see this as a form of social bullying, and also know those in the 'click' are weak, arrogant, unwholesome people that i would not have the patience for in day to day life so the same applies here.

Grow up people its embarrassing to see adults acting like kids!

:-)

Er...your first post was at 10.10pm and then you post your 2nd an hour an twenty minutes later with a rant complaining no one has responded. I think you'll find many people are in bed at that time anyway, I certainly am. Personally I find this forum very helpful sometimes and sometimes it isn't. I don't really understand the issue here? You seem very angry and I wish you the best of luck with that.

Well, I like your taste in music anyway! I didn't answer you on this thread because I'm type 2 and didn't feel qualified to reply. Oh, and I've never fitted in anywhere ...........:)

I have yet to see anyone ignored on the forum other than people being unable to answer the question that is posed.

As for cliques, all cliques are not negative but part of social interactions. It is only when they cause tension and stress for other members that they can be viewed negatively. If you have specific posts that you have a problem with then why not express your views on the thread. You do not have to use ad hominem attacks to get your point across.

Some people are lonely and isolated with regard to their diabetes and need help. They do form strong bonds but is that a bad thing? Some people live lonely lives and if virtual friends brighten their day is that wrong too? Other people have the luxury of other people in their lives to meet their relationship needs.

You are never going to like every poster on a forum and I expect that each and every one of us is viewed in a negative light by someone here. There is a facility to block a member that you do not want to hear from.

Why not start again and post when you are not so angry Nicko?

I have to admit I quickly go past your posts because I hate your profile picture - there's another thread about strange phobias - and your pic triggers mine.

I'm also type 2 and wouldn't have a clue which "educational" resources to recommend to you.
