have been living with T2 since 2009, started off on a low dosage of metformin, but now on 3000 mg along with a couple of other drugs. really struggle with the way they make me feel. if i stop taking all med's, within a couple of days i feel on top of the world, blood sugars through the roof but feel great. Has anyone else experienced this?

Are you on the slow release metformin?
Are you low carbing?
Are you on any other meds?

Metformin is a drug that gives benefits over a period of a long time, if you are stopping and starting taking them, that could be a factor.
The increase in metformin is probably because of poor control of blood glucose levels.

I have tagged @daisy1 to give you more info.

Inevitably you will have to talk about the meds with your GP, maybe he can prescribe another diabetic med.
