Eggs

I often have scrambled eggs for breakfast. done in the microwave with cream Yumm!
I sent David Mendosa the article which said that eggs ae good for middle aged men. He was delighted. said he had them anyway, but now doesn't have to feel guilty about it. He has them fried with bacon.

I have to admit that I take with a very large pinch of salt anything that comes out of Harvard Medical School, especially when it comes to eggs. If you go back over their press releases over the last 10 years you will find they contradict themselves pretty much every year. This year eggs are bad, last year they were good, the year before they were bad, and so it goes on.

It seems to depend on whether that year's research was being funded by the egg marketing board or one of the big breakfast cereal producers!

Wow.
Cheers Dennis.
Theres like.......loads of stuff there.
If I can tear myself away from the forums once in a while I will plough through it. seems like my sort of 'expert' I think.

I remember the adds too. Trouble is as a kid I couldn't stand any sort of egg ??
Now I love 'em. Problem is I am not only a Diabetic, I have cholesterol problems too !
Every few monthsd some 'expert' tells me that they are good for you, then another says they are bad for you ? My head is spinning - so I just do what I think is right and have one a week - delicious.

Cholesterol in the blood is derived from eating carbs, not fat. Dietary cholesterol has hardly any effect, except in some genetic cases.

My cholesterol went UP on the so-called Healthy Low Fat diet to the extent I was accused of not complying. Dropping the carbs decimated my trigs (literally) and adding more fats doubled my HDL and reduced my LDL. Who knew? Well lots of people actually

You can sign up for Davis Mendosa's monthly newsletter and if you email him he always replies.

With regards to worrying about eggs and cholesterol, I personally think everything in moderation.

I blame Eggwena Currie for frightening people off eggs,as Fenster says they are the best food, practically a perfect food source.

As a child I used to hate eggs, but now I've reduced my carbs scramblers with cheese and cherry tomatoes are one of my staples yummm
