controlling blood sugars is always the first step with anything D related.
Thank you, will take a look and definitely will be talking to my doctor about it even though I do feel embarrassed.

Hi I had this problem just before being diagnosed and given canesten cream which did mildly help. It wasn't until I managed to get my meds and blood sugar level under control that it natural cleared up.

Hi there again :)
it might be worth you investing in a book called
Reverse your Diabetes by Dr. David Cavan.

I have read through this book and although it won't help me cure my type 1 there are loads of strong positives that could assist you to achieve some weight loss and a potential reduction or elimination of meds.

I am also tagging @plantagenet for his support on this .

Candida is a common problem if you have sugar in your urine. The only real solution is to get your blood sugar down below around 11 mmol. Canesten etc will only help whilst they are being used. Can you let us have some idea of your weight and BMI?

I get the odd one here and there and are commonly known as a in growing hair and the only way to get rid of it is to be lanced in hospital and they take the hair out as well but that is what a absess is and what most of the cause is as I am type 2 and on insulin but I used to get them when I was over weight but I have lost my weight and haven't had any up to date but I still do with the gums and teeth but that is the same cause just different direction of hair

Welcome :) I'd say it's best to get checked by your doc as the OTC treatment you're using may not be sufficient. I'm prone to getting candida glabrata infections, but not sores. If you have a candida infection at all, get that checked too as diabetics are more prone to the rarer strain and the OTC treatments like canesten doesn't work as they only treat albican strain of candida. I have to use Nilstat cream which contains sodium hydroxide and lactic acid (I can get this OTC) or I have to go and get boric acid suppositories made (by script only here)... they're the only treatments apparently for the glabrata strain my docs have advised works. I'm not sure if this is partly your issue and causing your sores? The only way to find out is to get a pathology swab done.... again your doc should be able to help.
