Empagliflozin

I’ve been in 10 mg a day since March. Ido get dizzy if I stand up too fast but no other side effects.

That’s interesting. I’m not sure what’s going on but I feel lightheaded all the time and I have fallen over a couple of times. The change in meds is the only thing I can think of. My HbA1c is 6.2 which is fab but I think I’m getting spikes and troughs rather than a steady profile

Do you have a blood glucose meter? It might be worth testing to confirm or deny this. Especial test when feeling dizzy, highs or lows might be the cause. But if it persists, especially if you are falling I would visit the dr

I wear a libre so I know y dizzy spells are not blood sugar related, and I’ve checked my blood pressure too and it’s not that either.

Are you on blood pressure meds?
Are you drinking enough fluids? Empagliflozin can affect blood pressure.

I’ve had lightheadedness but after I was taking Dronedarone for heart and also have Empagliflozin. It seems to have gone now

Just started on that and taken the first one this morning. Must admit I am very wary after reading the side effects. I am also on Metformin and Trajenta.
