ThanksThe advice says 1 hour before or 2 hrs after so as long as you haven’t eaten for 2hrs, then going by the advice you should be fine, then you can eat an hour later
Edited to make clearer
Thanks @Rachox - oops should have done more research on the medsThe only problem with the general advice quoted by @Loving life is that one of the actions of Rybelsus is that it slows stomach emptying. Here is a link to the specific instructions for taking Rybelsus where it recommends 6 hours fasting before taking the daily tablet, see paragraph 2 of frequently asked questions:
Yes if you plan to take your Rybelsus at 8am, then have breakfast at least 30 mins laterSo probably safe to not have anything past 2 am.
Ya very tired tooHourly bathroom trips don't sound ideal to me. Are you getting enough sleep and have you spoken to your medical team about them? Do you know what sort of blood sugars you are currently having?
If you do decide to take your Rybelsus at 6am remember to not eat or drink after midnightGoing to have to change the timing somehow.
Like take it at one of my earlier hourly bathroom trips. Maybe at 6am even tho I'm not up til 7 or 8.
Because I do have so many bathroom trips I'm very thirsty when I'm finally up.
I don't imagine that's wrong?
ThanksPoor sleep doesn't help blood sugars, and high blood sugars do increase the need for urination. (But so do lots of other things)
I empathise with your fear of further procedures but I do hope you get more help from your doctor(s) to control your diabetes.
Good luck with the rybelsus

I have to say 2 hours would be ok for someone not on a GLP-1. I think maybe it’s slipped the pharmacist’s mind that delayed stomach emptying is one of the effects of Rybelsus.I finally read the paper insert in my rybelsus box. Because of having trouble with when I can take it. It only says on an empty stomach. No how many hours or anything just the reference to nothing else for 30 minutes.
So I called my pharmacy and the pharmacist said 2 hours empty is fine. Whew!!
