I am 51, female black. I was diagnosed as pre diabetic. I love traveling and I love interacting with people. My goal is to learn as much as possible from this forum to help me attain my BSL goal.
Welcome to the forums. There is lots of good information here and with the articles under the home tab. Look after the pre-diabetes and it may help you stay out of diabetes itself.

Prediabetes, yay! So very, very many of us are never told that we were in the prediabetic range, so never got the chance to avoid diabetic numbers. I'm sure you're less than thrilled about the diagnosis, but I do hope you can look upon it as being a chance...? You might entirely avoid a diabetes diagnosis and possible complications. The basics? There's a lot of things that can up blood sugars, like working night shifts, restless sleep, stress, illness, meds for other conditions, but the one it's easiest to tackle is usually what we eat. Almost all carbs we ingest turn to glucose, so... Cut the carbs, see blood sugars go down. (It helps if you have a meter, so you can see progress happen, as it happens.) https://josekalsbeek.blogspot.com/2019/11/the-nutritional-thingy.html may help a little, but keep in mind it's written mainly for T2 diabetics... You might not have to go to the same lengths to normalise your numbers.
If there's anything we can help with, let us know, there's always someone around with answers.
Good luck!
