Ever wondered how test strips work?

Test strips are a bit more complex than we all thought:) I found this link showing how they work and a bit how they are made too. makes you wonder how much money is actually made each year on these important components that all Diabetic patients should have access to and not restricted. I am Type 1 so I am OK, but my mum is type 2 and doesn't get strips very often so i pass some on to her to monitor and manage.

Rather sad but the one thing that fascinates me about strips is when they like suck our blood onto the strip haha! Littlest things amuse me haha
