I think we may have had a thread about this before - I certainly remember reading about the astronauts, and the mouse research, but I'm not sure it was the same article as I definitely don't remember seeing the camel bit!!

Pass the salt please, I am too old at 72 to change my eating habits. :meh:

Salts bad.
Salts good,
Salts bad,
Salts good,
Salts b...............

I definitely retain more water when my salt intake increases. I take Soluble cocodomol, the recommended dose contains 50% more salt than RDA, and it's my only source of salt, as far as I know. Both the U.C.L. and the University of Dundee warns of early death for frequent users.

At the end of the day I wonder who I'm supposed to believe, it's getting to be like politicians, take everything you hear with a large pinch of salt, or is that just making matters worse. LOL

If the salt content of soluble Cocodamol worries you why don't you just take the standard tablets, I do? They may take a little longer to take effect but you could save yourself the high salt content and disgusting taste too :hungover:

They have a weird, unpleasant effect on the lining of my stomach, a bit like having heartburn and stomach ulcers. I get told or I read so much contradictory information that I tend to leave my destiny as far as how long I'm going to be here and what's going to kill me down to god. Whoever, whatever, god might be is another question all together . . . . . . . . .
