Hi all
I just thought i would share a few things i have found with trying to lower blood sugars.
Walking for 30-1hr
Weight trainning for 30 -1 hr min keeps blood sugar down longer.
Cycling also seems to keep my blood sugars down longer.
Drinking water
However i found trying to starv/skipping meals your self did not help and made my blood sugars go up.
I also know when bloods r lowered as i feel good, giggly and slightly emotional when out for my walks and things r going in the right direction

What have you guys found

All of the above,
plus overnight fasting - ie. leaving at least 12 hours and preferably16 between the evening meal and breakfast.
plus making sure my evening meal is at least three hours before bed.

plus the occasional glass of whiskey!

Hello,
I find walking for 30 minutes or more brings my blood glucose down, but more vigorous exercise makes it go up. This might be because I like walking and I relax, rather than the effect of the physical effort involved. I have heard that weight training is one of the best forms of exercise for lowering blood sugar but I have not tried it myself. Before all this diabetes business started I only drank water to give my liver a shock. Now I try to take my 8 glasses a day.
