Well thanks very much guys. I am a bit of a rookie newbie on this site. I saw Jamrox's challenge on a different thread, no date, and so have already made a start. An hour aquafit yesterday, and 30 mins walking round shops and 15 minutes physiotherapy today. Am I in credit then?

Want to join in, but some days it takes me at least 60 minutes to drag my weary body out of bed and down the stairs. Does that count as exercise?

Pip treat it as training for the challenge. It good to build up. I ve got another 8 days to finish the 5x50 then its straight into my new challenge with you all.
Im hoping it will keep me motivated and ill be 10 stone something on time for my cruise in July ...

Thank you. I am in. Although I have difficulty walking and my health varies day to day. On good days I will swim, or do aquafit. Days I am not able I will do what I can at home, but may need to break the 30 mins into 5 or 6 short sessions. Hope this is acceptable, and thank you Jamrox for inspiring and encouraging us.

Pipp its your challenge to yourself and the beauty of that is you do it as you can.

when its difficult to walk up the stairs is as much an achievement as running a marathon, what we do to achieve is relative to our conditions, i think the key is doing more than is comfortable, wether that be 10 steps or a 100 miles, it dosent matter, in fact 10 steps for some will take more effort than the 100, what im badly trying to say is whatever you can do is enough, we are only competing against ourselves, trying to push ourselves beyond whats comfortable for a little while, ive always felt taking the last 10 steps of a long race equal to the rest of the race combined, when lifting weights the last push was equal to the previous 20

I find the first 5 minutes are always the hardest.
Honest everyone don't pressure your self , this is meant to be a bit of challenge not something that is a nightmare.

Indiana91 .
Ive been doing it , its almost finished and it has stopped me making excuses about exercise.
I'm frightened that I start making excuses and that's why I've challenged myself to doing 30 minutes exercise daily for 42 days starting 19th May.
I have invited others to do it.

Zand glad you are in, no pressure though . Don't make your knee worse.

I'm in, may need some motivation along the way!
Does it matter what exercise it is?

I walk for around 40 minutes most weekdays after lunch, but the main challenge for me will be if the weather is inclement. I don't really mind if it rains whilst I'm walking, but find it harder to start a walk if it's pouring down.

I'll do it :-)

If it's raining too hard there's always the bottom step of the stairs or marching on the spot. Or the keep fit video!

Well done so far Jamrox and good luck!

I'm sitting here freezing.
I used to be like this before I took control, reduced my carbs and started to exercise.
