HI GUYSS , I have started my alevels this year and beside it i am doing an epq which you can do it on something of your choice and it is worth half an alevel. I really want to do it on something to do with type 1 diabetes as i feel like i would be so happy researching it and doing a 5000 word essay on it and it wouldnt feel like work just feel like fun. However i cant think of a title and a specfic topic and it cant be too vague or broad. helpp mee??

A day in the life as an a level student with type 1 diabetes ... and how my life is not so different.

Gives you a chance to personalise it but also explain how insulin works, what happens if you get it wrong and you can also use it as an opportunity to explain, if you get it right, your life is not so different: you could be an actor (Hallie Berry), an Olympic medalist (Steve Redgrave), a musician (Este Haim), prime minister (Theresa May), ...

The last of these, however true, will not get you a great mark even if well written. ;)

Good luck.

High, low and in between. Daily targets..
Blood, sweat and tears AND insulin. Just a few substances on my kitchen worktop.

What other subjects are you studying? For instance would you wish to focus on the scientific, social, psychological, historical, international, economic or personal effects of T1?

My apologies to Dr Strangelove.

Relevance of low carbohydrate diets to insulin dependent diabetics?

I can eat what I like, but should I?

I think I downloaded a book like that from Diatribe called something like Rainbows/Unicorns or Bright Spots? and Landminies. You could plagarise that a little with your own unique spin.
Also something on diabetes tech would be interesting e.g. from peeing on a stick to cgm and alogrithms but still no cure!!

Hi, is there a chance you could tell me what you did focus your EPQ on, I’m planning on doing one on diabetes but struggling for ideas

@IceLover
Type 1 diabetes True Grit ?

Type 1 diabetes, not just for Christmas ?

As we have to think about it 24/7, to try and get a good balance in our everyday lives.

I hope it goes well for you :)
