Wheat is not good for us.Hi Guys,
I don't know where else to go or what to do. I had just two wheat chapati and dal in dinner and 20 min walk, my blood sugar after 2 hours is 132.I am reading on various sites that for non diabetic sugar level drops below 100 after 2 hour. I only had 4 egg white omelette in afternoon.
I have not told anyone about the this health issue I am facing.
I can't tell my family, they would get very worried. Btw I have dropped lot of weight but still not much help.
Is anyone here who is successful to not get diabetes from per diabetic level ?
Sorry guys for being repeative. It's just that I have only this forum to get some advice.

I'm a T2 diabetic, and I got my levels down to non-diabetic levels... I'll always be a T2, but you don't have to be. So yes, it is possible on low carb/high fat. Even for people way farther gone than you are right now. (Don't worry so much... You're doing fine!)I mean staying to pre diabetic level and not getting in diabetic range.
I am already trying low carb. Sometimes I eat normal food.

Well, no I stay alone. I myself feel quite horrible for it. I overate for 4 years straight because people used to tell me how thin I was, I really abused food. I gradually swelled up and then that overeating lead me here.I was thinking if I could just eat as I used to way back , may be I could reverse it. Hoping that I am still not diabetic and just pre stage . I am majorly disappointed that it's not happening, even if I am eating less blood sugar is not going back as it used to be. I know it's my fault but I am trying everything I can.Wheat is not good for us.
Can I point you to the Headbangers kitchen website. He has a recipe that might suit you better for Indian breads.
If you are eating with family, they should be told because you need to eat different things. It's your decision at the end of the day
Update.
After 4 hours my BS is 101. It is still not dropping below 100.
Yes it's 5.61, But is it not a problem that blood sugar is not dropping below 100 or 99. I am reading on various sites that that it should.I’d say that was absolutely fine. It’s 5.6 which is normal. . I often have a week of higher readings in 7s (130s) but Hba1c is around 36. I wouldn’t worry at all.....or have I misunderstood?
if your blood sugars are used to being higher, it can take time for them to go back down consistently. How high was it before you ate?Yes it's 5.61, But is it not a problem that blood sugar is not dropping below 100 or 99. I am reading on various sites that that it should.
I follow a ketogenic diet, (Less than 20 grams of carbs a day) but you don't have to go that far. Just low carb, high fat would be fine, basically cutting back on or scratching entirely: bread (including chapati's), potatoes, rice, corn, pasta/noodles and fruit, save for berries, avocado, tomatoes and starfruit.... Upping the fats some to keep feeling full and getting nutrients you need. Dietdoctor.com has loads of meal ideas, and reading The Diabetes Code by Dr. Jason Fung might be helpful. I don't get out much, but I do a lot of walking over the weekends, usually carrying camera gear. So slow and steady.Hi @JoKalsbeek
Thank you for the comment. Can you please share your diet details and if any exercise you follow.
That would be greatly helpful.
This is highest. Previously it was 126 mg/dl.if your blood sugars are used to being higher, it can take time for them to go back down consistently. How high was it before you ate?
