I got my first eye appointment tomorrow afternoon, only had to wait nearly 2 months.... Not sure how I feel about it.
hi Biohazard
Not unusual to wait for a few months from diagnosis, they don't like to do it early as your BG should come down and it could make the test redundant if it improves things.
It's not unknown for people to revert to old prescriptions.(from years b4 even)
When you say - not sure how you feel about it - do you mean what to expect or worried it may not be good?
if it's the former I can re-assure you. its a normal eye test with the Glaucoma thing, they then give you drops (didn't hurt) to dilate the pupils then take pics. My optician showed me the results and said no changes see in 12 months, however when I got the letter from the retinopathy screening people it said minor changes see in 12 months. Others on here have reported similar situs, I'm not worried re that as the end result was the same.
You can't drive after it. Take sunglasses with you for on the way home as eyes more sensitive to light and heaven forbid if we got a bit of sun
