Thanks for advice xRing the NHS advice line on 111.
I was worried by a bleed in a pupil, with the bottom half of eye becoming blood red, which was quite alarming. I rang the NHS advice line and the nurse asked if I had been blowing my nose a lot recently, which I had as I had a cold. She said this could happen and wasn't serious and I didn't need to go to GP or A&E, which was reassuring.
The bleeding did clear up after a couple of days.
I have concerns about diabetic eye disease and thought somebody on this forum might have had similar experiences to share but thanks for your suggestionSounds like a question for an optician rather than an internet forum.
From the symptoms you describe there would be no way of knowing if someone else's experience was at all relevant. It would be irresponsible to just speculate what your problem might be.I have concerns about diabetic eye disease and thought somebody on this forum might have had similar experiences to share but thanks for your suggestion

Do call for help. It could be as relatively innocent as a migraine, but it could be something worse. Eyepressure can be a problem., and eyes can get permanently damaged really fast. (I've had Uveitis, which thankfully went away after 5 weeks of prednisone. But was virtually blind for a couple of days there, and would have gone completely dark permanently if I hadn't put my foot down and gone back to the hospital. Dry eyes, my *ss!). Don't wait it out, call the nhs helpline. Better call for nothing than not eh.I’ve got pain in my right eye with what feels like pressure behind, should I be concerned? Thanks x
Thank you for this advice, i’m Unable to get a gp appointment today and the symptoms have gone away. If they come back I will certainly ring 111. Since recent diagnosis I feel I have much more concern and anxiety about health complications and am unable to get an appointment with the dn for some time. At least I will be seen at the eye screening clinic in 2 weeks. People’s experiences and support are very reassuring. Thanks again xDo call for help.
