I get mine done at the Ophthalmology clinic so get the results straight away, I'm sure for those that don't they get a letter around a week after the appointment.

Usually about a week, 2 tops for clear checks, although the ones that required Hosp checking took a little longer(maybe they're getting more efficient).

I have mine done every year and get results in about 2 weeks. I always look at the photos myself. whilst there.

I got a verbal "everything looks fine" from the man behind the machine on the day and a letter sent to my Doctor which I saw three weeks later confriming it. However this was in Ireland. About to have another one done next week in the UK so will see if it is any different. Knowing the absurdities of this country they will probably tell me under the Data Proctection Act I am not allowed to know and I will have to take up valuble Dr. time finding out.

no they will say that they are not qualified to interpret the test and need to rely on a tick-box jockey to inform you by poorly worded letter (my GP has never been involved in this test).

When I have a retinal screening I always ask for the results to be sent to me as well as my GP ,if I just get the normal letter saying that the results have been sent to my GP I ring and ask for a copy .I take this to show my optician when I go for an eye test

Hi. My tests are done at the Retinopathy clinic at the local hospital. They don't gibe me the result on the day as the pictures need to be looked at by an expert. I always receive a letter with the results within 2-3 days.
