Bret Michaels & Mari Wilson (both singers) have type 1 diabetes.

Dominic Littlewood (Cowboy Builders) has had type 1 diabetes since he was a child.

I forgot about her!

Didn't she claim to have cured herself?

I think you're right. She was diagnosed T1 and apparently weened herself off insulin ? Not sure if she is back on it now or if she was misdiagnosed and is possibly T2 ?

That's right! I thought it was something like that.
I remember all the hype about it, she got a lot of people's hopes up :(

Stan Laurel..

I read something about Poison singer Bret Michaels in Kerrang magazine interveiw about 25 years ago regarding a song on their album that came out at the time.. It was an "ode" to a dead roadie that used to run a around after Bret picking up the pieces regarding his diabetes control.. The poor roadie wasn't just lugging cabs, he was thinking like a pancreas too....

Yep, I was "militant" back then too & found Bret's article irritating at the time.... To say the least..!

Loved Kerrang. always got that and Motorcycle News every week :)

Steve Redgrave was diagnosed T2 but I believe had to inject insulin due the demands of his 6000 calories a day diet.

I believe Steve is on a insulin pump, he went on insulin because he needed to consume something like 6000 calories a day when he was at the height of his career.

I've spent my whole diabetic life (pretty much my whole life) seeing him as a type 1 role model!!
I feel like I've been lied to!

Hahaha!!
