Fasting bs and walking

Fasting bs his morning were 6.4 ....had a breakfast of a Full glass of nutribullet greens, .. kale, spinach, parsley, half avacado. Some almond nuts, berries plus a cup of tea ..then went for a 30 min walk .. 2hr post breakfast was 5.6 ..

Excellent results and great way to get some nutrients.
 
Went for another walk before tea tonight .. pre tea reading was 4.2.. ate fish, veg, and had a very small piece of chicken ( 2 bites) and a glass of water .. post reading @ 2hrs was 5.8 .. was pleased ..
 
Hi @dvd, sounds goods what you are doing, but the way you described having 2 bites of the chicken, as though chicken was off the menu, it's OK to eat the chicken & skin.

Your numbers seem pretty good

I have started to walk more .. that was two 45 min walks today ..one after breakfast and another before tea ...When i say two bites of chicken, it was left over and hate throwing food out so popped it on the plate .. read my previous post on the green breakfast i had ..then lunch time i had a wheaten pitta bread with a tomato sliced inside it .. then tea was given in a previous posting ...supper will be another green veg drink ...

This morning fasting reading pre breakfast was 3.4 then reading 2 hrs after breakfast and a 25 main walk the reading was 5.1 ... Breakfast was glass of green veg drink and 2 scrambled eggs with cup of tea ..

What medication are you on, dvd? A fasting level of 3.4 is something we all dream about.
 
Hi Gudrun.. am not on any meds for Diabetes as i am only prediabetic and am trying to keep it at bay .. have started using a nutribullet and making green vegie drinks.. normally i have something like porridge at night but in the morning and fasting test was always in the 6's..so last night i thouhht i would go for a green veggie ..kale, spinach, half avacado, blueberries, rasberries, and nuts ..and it was water based .. to my amazement the fasting reading was 5.4 .. biggest drop for weeks as a fasting test ..now maybe a fluke but will repeat tonight and see what the result is in the morning ..watch this space lol
 
I got myself a juicer before Christmas and drink green juice a couple of times a week for lunch (kale, spinach, broccoli, cucumber, etc.) Maybe I'll try that tonight as a night-time drink.

Yes give it a go .. i also put i half avacado to thicken it up.. keeps u full .. and i put in some nuts for flavour

Never tried avocado, must get one. I'll have green juice for lunch later.
