It's 5 weeks since I started this journey and that I have my targets where they should be it seems my fasting readings are always borderline or slightly higher.........

Hi. I wouldn't worry too much about fasting readings as they can be affected by overnight liver dumps. Rely more on 2 hour post-meal checks and your HBa1C

I've heard that in many cases the fasting numbers can be the last to come down @montrealer07 & if your other numbers are good then I shouldn't stress about it

Always seem higher in a morning but depends on what I eat the night before :sour:

It took me 4 months to get mine down, during a holiday in Italy there was a step change and that has continued now usually 4.1 to 5.2

I too find that first thing in s morning is the highest reading of the day, much better when I get home from work and a couple of hours after tea. Got my 3 months check approaching but hoping this means my levels overall have come down
