Fatty liver cause of George Michael's death

Rubbish he died from naturally causes there is no set age as to when you should die
I agree. In the past he abused his body but there are hundreds of people who have done that and live to a ripe old age. Rest in Peace George Michael. :(

I was put on statins after my heart by pass.......the thing being I was initially put on 40mg daily......way too much as my cholesterol was under 4, I have now been able to cut it down to 10mg daily and retain the same reading of 3.8 and all the bits in the breakdown HDL, LDL, Trigs and ratios are rated OPTIMAL and I feel the benefit of the cut, in that the confusion and other side effects have lessened, my Dr says if my next test comes back still under 4 he will consider a trial period of no statins and if ok I can stop taking them as a they are taking me lower than recommended for a lady of my age........

True, but drugs and alcohol use in the past will have exacerbated or caused both of the conditions which culminated in his death. A natural death, maybe, but still untimely.

Yes I agree the consequence for consuming alcohol & drugs etc didn't help at all.

I thought I read somewhere that he also had compromised lung function after years of smoking dope and had been treated for it in Europe? Compromised lungs probably also had implications for his heart. It's almost like he had a death wish the way he abused his body :(

I take quite a lot of medication and I sometimes wonder if it affects my liver. I was diagnosed with fatty liver 2 years ago when they were looking for gallstones as that what my symptoms were pointing to but no gallstones but fatty liver. I know there is a test called a Fibroscan which can tell how much damage (if any) the liver has but I believe it is quite expensive so the doctors won't do it if you ask for it. My doctors don't seem concerned about it but I still have a discomfort underneath my right rib. I am low carbing and cutting out sugar but my weight just doesn't seem to want to shift, it is such hard work to lose even one pound and I don't really understand why :-(

Have you tried a very low calorie diet, like the Newcastle Diet.
It's worked well for all those on here that have done it, myself included.

Have you had your Vitamin D3 tested? A deficiency makes weight loss very difficult.

Hello, thanks for replying. Yes I have recently had my Vit D3 tested and I don't have a deficiency.

No I haven't but I think I'm going to have to give it a go. Can you tell me what shakes you used?

Also, I do have a big belly (sorry for the TMI) and I want to get rid of it. My fat on my body seems to be distributed on my belly, thighs and bum - everywhere else ie legs, arms are quite slim. I have a weird body shape :-(
