So I’ve just had my annual review and my HBA1c rose from 48 to 53. My cholesterol has gone down to 4.0 and my weight has dropped another 3kg. Blood pressure normal.
I have just spent the whole appointment being told how bad it is that my hba1c has risen into the 50’s and I must go onto medication now as I am clearly not managing things very well.
I really thought I had things under control and now feel like I’m back to the beginning and they won’t listen. I have managed to get them to agree to another blood test in 3 months to see if things are back to what they were. Am I being unreasonable not wanting to take medication? The only people I know who are diabetic who are on medication just seem to be continually upping there doses and are nowhere near being able to stop taking it.
