Recently I have been feeling that my blood sugar are very high but when I am testing they are within my range, what could cause this? And how can I stop feeling like this?
I’ve been type 1 since I was 4 but I’ve been in DKA twice in the past two years, my range at the minute is between 5-11, it’s been happening for the past couple of weeks, ive had a lot of lows when waking up but the rest of the day I am fine after I have treated the low, I’m on 1 to 10 at the minute but only recentlyHi @Bethjane1234 ,
Welcome to the forum.
How long have you been diagnosed.?
Silly question. What is "within" your range..? How recent has this high feeling occurred?
But I'm heading somewhere with this.... Feeling high is relative to how you normally feel.
Are you suffering swinging BS levels outside the norm? Or a lot of lows?
Last question (honest.)what insulin regime are you on...?

I normally treat them with a fizzy drink then a biscuit, or I go have some cereal and give insulin for the rest that I didn’t need to correct with. It makes me feel awful, they make my moods worse too. I’ve been waking up between 1.9-2.5Hi again,
Oddly enough.. My experience of treating a morning or nighttime low can leave me feeling a little high & through the morning. I don't normally do breakfast?
Hangovers from alcahol the night before (on the occaisions I "party".) feel similar. Though the BS is great. Lol
What do you treat your hypos with? How low have you been on waking??
No I haven’t tried that so I will give that a go and see what’s going on. Thank you for all the adviseHi @Bethjane1234 I would be more inclined to sort those morning lows out, have you tried any basal testing to see what's happening with your background ? Getting your background dose is fundamental to good control: https://mysugr.com/basal-rate-testing/ Feeling high could be a counter effect of the lows you are experiencing so by getting your basal dose right it could help you feel better, it's also good practice on the pump to do a basal check from time to time.
