Hi I'm sorry to post again, I won't do this again just wanted to ask something else.

I seem to collect auto immune conditions like something else, but it seems to be a coincidence that this has kicked off when my sugars are playing up.

I've been feeling absolutely ghastly recently. Really tired, my brain feels dead, dizzy, off balance, eyes feel just bleurgh! Not only that my mood isn't that grand either, I just don't feel motivated to do anything & I'm quite teary. I'm also drinking loads more through thirst but I don't know about urinating as I catheterise.

Would this be from my blood sugars playing up?

I barely eat due to various issues, my last 2 readings (although they're pretty consistent) last night after a mighty 3 t-spoons of guacamole all day my blood sugar was 10.4 I think. This morning properly fasting it was over 8.

I rarely go to my GP unless its a major issue as I don't want them thinking Im a nut job.

I've been on metformin but my bowel problems mean I couldn't continue on this route.

More than anything it'll be relieving that the reason I'm feeling so ghastly is due to my blood sugars messing about.

Thank you zx

Sadie,
Saddened to hear of your current position. The only person who perhaps can really help is your GP? Whether or not they "think your a problem" doesn't matter. It is you that matters, never forget that. Go and see you GP soonest.

Go seek help from your gp asap and dont apologise for posting ,thats what we are here for

hi, if you do in fact have diabetes, it is a major issue so go get checked out, your numbers do seem high so your not crying wolf and autoimmune problems do seem to go hand in hand, best of luck

Sorry I've got Type 2 diabetes.

I did the whole fasting & GTT thing.

My fasting numbers were 6.6, 7.2 & 7.8

My GTT numbers were all over 12.

I was give counselling on diet & exercise etc. I've been on metformin but I've got a paralysed bowel & it caused havoc, I ended up with a bowel obstruction amongst other issues.

I know the metformin wouldn't have cause the obstruction but it didnt help.

Because I've got so much wrong I hate going to the drs, so I don't really like going unless its needed. But with how I've been feeling its more of an inconvenience than feeling like imminent death. So I've put up with it for a few weeks.

I'm sleeping 20 hours a days & just generally feeling like total ****.

some people never go to the doctors, some people go a lot, they are used to it, they won't think badly of you, to be honest as far as i can tell we are just numbers and if they weren't seeing you it would be someone else, so I'm sure it doesnt bother them who is sitting there, so stop worrying about what the doctor thinks about you and go see them, your ill, they are doctors which what they chose as a career, doctors are paid by us to look after us, best of luck

Thank you.

I sound like such a fool lol.

I think it's because my Mum used to take me to the Drs loads when I was a kid so I'd rather suffer in silence. You're right we're all just an NHS code, there's nothing better than taxing a Drs brain on a Friday afternoon when he's expecting colds, sore throats & rashes.

Thank you again xxx

Go go go ....it is your right....IMHO. It may be said that doctors are there to serve us !!!!!!!

Hi Sadie
If doctors didn't have patients they wouldn't have jobs. In some respects we are customers and it doesn't do the docs any harm to be reminded of that from time to time...
You don't sound like a fool at all, you sound like someone who's had a tough time. Maybe it's time to start kicking back.
Good luck and keep us posted (I know, terrible pun).
