I have has a mixture of symptoms that have re-occurred over the last few months:
1. Extremely tired and lethargic - feel like I have the flu
2. very strong and long lasting headaches
3. Feeling dizzy and light leaded
4. tingling in my hands and fingers
5. feeling feverish and hot and cold for no explainable reason

I have type 2 diabetes and have been diagnosed for 2.5 years.
I take 2 x500mg metformin twice daily.
I eat healthily and regularly
I was exercising 3-4 times weekly by running 5k on each occasion.
More recently I have reduced my exercise to approx 1 run every 2 weeks and am experiencing more stress at work.
In writing this I think that I've answered my own question in that my reduced exercise and increased stress are contributing to my unwell symptoms.

I do not regularly test my blood sugars but 2 hours after a low carbohydrate high protein meal this evening my reading was 14.4

Other opinions and advice appreciated?

Regards
Lee

Levels as high as 14 can also make you feel like ****.
I know I get stinking headaches nowadays if my kevels go higherthan 9.0. If levels go to 14 during night, I nowadays wake up sweating profusely.. But different to hypo sweats.

I personally would see if you can test a bit more to get your levels lower.

And yes, more stress and less exercise can well afect your wellbeing..

You've mirrored my symptoms (and past history and current medication) almost exactly - except I've never taken as much exercise as you. I put it all down to stress which has been ongoing for about 4 months but has now eased. As a result, the symptoms are also easing, and I hope will eventually disappear. A wake-up call to me to never get into such a stressful situation again, if I can help it.
