Lorraine your lucky to get to see the team so soon. I found out I was Type 2 in Oct 2013.While I have seen nurses and Docs for tests its only on this Friday do I get to see the 'specialists' at the district hospital. I think they are facing a huge raise and are finding it hard to cope. But there is light at the end of the tunnel and you'll feel better in time. We've all been there and while it can feel like a life sentence it isn't.Hi welcome im new here to , only found out on Friday had no warning so I feel like you. Sunday I did nothing but cry because I couldn't see what I could eat or how I was going to work out what I could eat. I cant see the specialist diabetic team until the 13th Feb and that seems a long way away
will do , I might get into the charity thing , with work and family don't have much else in my life , might give me a direction to go in .It can knock you for 6 when you first find out. But with a bit of time , information and help from the good people of the site you'll come to find it isn't the end of the world. Yes its a life change, but it can work out to be a positive knowing rather than having it and getting worse. Best of luck and keep us updated.

Things can get better and do if your willing to try. It's not the end of the world and with a few simple changes in life style you can see a brighter future. Best of luck,
