hey guys, haven't posted in some time, i've been regular on just to lazy to reply haha!

Anyway i've got my consultant app on thursday, and i'm dreading it so much verbal communication don't sit well with him. I asked him for a pump and he said it wouldn't benefit me but my dietician got him to give me one in the end.

This will be my first appointment with him since being on the pump 5 months pumping now, tad nervous but i have seen so much better sugars so i'm hoping he will be nice.

~.~

my hab1c% is now 7%? from 12% in 5 months =p so i must be doing something right haha!

Hey no need to be nervous, you have improved your HbA1c, so they should be congratulating you.

Wow what an improvement @Type1Lad, well done you. If your consultant isn't happy then he needs to be in a different job.

I do hope you point out to him the massive drop in hba1c considering he 'didn't think it would benefit you' :)

i'm sure going to patients and consultants should trust but my trust with him at the moment needs to be improved knowing i could have benefited 3 and half years ago, im just hoping that he's going to be nice this time round.

Hope he's nice to you this time and well done on getting the Hba1c down! Do you feel a lot better since starting on the pump?

Try not to feel nervous. I am sure he will be impressed! If he does make you feel that bad you are well within your right to see another consultant :) I have a nurse that makes me feel that way and she isn't even a DSN, though somehow manages to lecture me about my diabetes every time I see her! :bag:

i feel alot better since the pump, although at the moment my sugars are a little bit up and and down so may have to do some basal testing :]
