Hi All
Is anyone on this new faster acting insulin from Novo?
If so how much faster is it and did this make a difference to your control and hba1c?

Hey @Omnipod - I've been using it since it became available in the UK in March. I've had my ups and downs, but persisted with it. I'm fairly sure it was responsible for my Hba1C going from 5.9% to 5.5% as a result of reduced post-prandial spikes, but I'm not going to say that it's been smooth sailing all the way.

I've found it certainly acts faster, but there have been other effects that have been seen by many users. My write-ups can all be found under: http://www.diabettech.com/faster-insulin and what other people have found can be read here: http://www.diabettech.com/user-resources/user-experiences-of-fiasp/

I use Fiasp with very few problems. A few ups and downs during the learning curb but otherwise ok.

Not to sure so you need to check this out, I very vaguely remember or think I remember some comments regarding the use of Fiasp in the pod as in it doesn't work. So do your research.

Im changing from novorapid to fiasp, hoping it will end the spikes after food.Im always chasing my tail, having been told for years that you can inject novorapid while you're eating or immediately after.
Last appointment at the hospital i was told this is the wrong way to do it now.
Does anyone prefer fiasp if they have been changed over from novorapid? Trying to keep a straight line on the libre graph has shown me how ****** my control is,most days it looks like a rollercoaster.

Went from novorapid to fiasp, and it made a big difference to me. Not so much in my bg but a lot in freedom. With novorapid I injected up to 45 minutes before eating to prevent a big after dinner spike, which made it impossible to have something to eat without planning. With fiasp I inject when the food is in front of me, and with many meals it's hard to find a spike afterwards.
