I've used Google to look this up and I'm getting a lot of conflicting information so I thought I would ask you lovely people!

Can you have figs on a low carb eating plan?
I've not tried them before but I'd like to and I've got a recipe that uses a fig and parma ham (which I LOVE) but I don't want to buy the stuff for it and find out that it's too high in carbs!

If I can have them - any other ideas for them would be great!!

There are about 7g of carbs in each fig so I personally feel it would be a bit of a waste of carbs! Try wrapping palma ham around asparagus or round cream cheese stuffed chicken breasts - not sweet I know but tasty all the same. :D

No reason why you shouldn't eat the occasional fresh fig, though if you're following the 'Modified Atkins they're not included. My book says nearly 10 carbs per fresh fig, so they are quite high.

If you decide to allow yourself one, do make sure you don't try dried figs - 50g is nearly 25g carb.
