Hey everyone,

I've finally been able to start testing, didn't manage to get a fasting lvl this morning but shockingly (I thought) my lvls went like this:

Mid morning - 5.4
After dinner (2 hours) - 5.0
Before bed (Just now lol) 6.6

Pretty cool eh? I put this down to reading loads on this forum and going low carb! I know I have a long way to go and it will go up and down while I 'test' foods, but considering I was 8.3 when I was diagnosed I thought this was good? Or is it? lol Not really sure why it's gone from 5.0 to 6.6 but still in 'normal' range so i'm ok with that.

Thanks :D I feel so proud and positive now that i've seen those numbers, it's so good to see in black and white that i'm doing the right thing, feels less like wading in deep dark water lol

I'm an insomniac hehe, about to go and try to sleep in a bit :)

Those are great numbers. Keep it up!

Well done Becca,

It is indeed a lovely feeling when you see the result of your efforts. Keep up the good work.

Agreed, brilliant progress!

You will probably find not a few "Wow I didn't expect that!" moments from time to time: don;t freak out, but learn from them. You'll probably find they get fewer as you learn how *you* respond to things

:D Well done becca, told you it'd get better didnt we!

I know how empowered you feel when you take charge of this bloody condition!

With figures like that, your next a1c will be a belter if you keep at it

One word of caution though, if it gets a bit higher now and again dont get down, it happens!

thanks :D Fasting test this morning was 5.7, highest it went was last night up to 7.2. I feel a bit like i'm not diabetic but I know that I am, does that make sense??

You are a Controlled Diabetic.

Well done with the numbers, now your testing you can stay in control of them, keep on top and watch the a1c figures come down!
