Fingerprick test results

How high do finger pick test results have to be to mean something urgent needs to be done? Mine are very high atm due to stress (lots of coursework - not good at essays at all!), tired + thirsty etc. I assume it will not be so bad without the stress, so I don't really want to bother with going to doctor needlessly, but I assume at some level it becomes really dangerous, but no idea what that would be.
 
If your readings are outside the guideline figures for a T2 then you would need to do something to rectify the situation. Just how high are we looking at ?
 
9.9, about 3 and half hours after eating. I know from previous experience my blood sugar gets higher when I've got a lot of written coursework to do, due to the stress and poor/disturbed sleeping I think.
 
9.9 whilst highish is not massively higher than the maximum guideline figure of 8.5 mmol/l. As you say stress can play a part, but I would be more interested to know what your meal was ?
 
Just refreshed the page by mistake and lost my reply. oh well, was saying the meal included lots of junk carbohydates (some crisps and a white bread ciabatta) so that won't be helping. Good to know 9.9 isn't that high (well it is but you know what I mean?).
