Got the letter through to day asking me to book in for a non-fasting blood test and the following week at the diabetic clinic.

Is this correct? Non-fasting test?
 
Hi. It probably is correct. The important HBa1C test is non-fasting. It looks like the surgery doesn't want a fasting test done as well. As this test is fairly pointless ref blood sugar they may have decided to skip it? You do need fasting, I think, for cholesterol measure but perhaps that isn't being tested this time round? Have a look at the blood test form and see what tests have been ordered.
 
They ended up not taking the HBa1C (kidney clinic ended up taking the blood).

Although with all the other results, including glucose levels (which was 6.5) they have decided to leave me without medication for at least another three months.

Next review in July.

I guess this is quite positive.
