Went for my HbA1c and Lipid tests on Monday and the results are back.

March HbA1c 118 or 17.7

June HbA1c 44 or 7.3

March Cholesterol 7.7
June Cholesterol 5.9

March Blood pressure 160/90
June Blood Pressure 130/80

I have also lost 13.5 kilos and my waist measurement has decreased by 24 cms

I have been following a very low carb (20 grams or under a day), Moderate protein (1gram per kilogram of bodyweight) and whilst not mainlining fat certainly eating enough to keep me satisfied and not hungry.

I have been exercising by walking, swimming and Aqua Aerobics with some gym strength and toning added so I can build and keep a muscle base.

Intermittent fasting by sticking to an 8 hour eating window with the occasional 24 hour fast.

I have not taken any meds, I was prescribed Metformin and did not take them and Doctor was pushing statins but I refused.

I would like to say a huge thank you to the forum for the great advice I would especially like to call out @PenfoldAPD who has been my Diabetes mate since joining and has kept me sane and inspired, @KevinPotts for his amazing inspirational posts @britishpub for being the first forum member to answer my post when I was in a panic, @squirefulwood for his down to earth advice @Brunneria for her diet advice and insights, @bulkbiker for his support on my decision not to take the meds lol, and @hankjam and @hitsme just for being a lovely form of support.

I have probably forgotten many others along the way so apologies.

I am feeling a wee bit emotional here and will admit that when handed my results in the docs reception i did say rather loudly well "F**K me" lol.

Ok onwards lets get this result into normal levels.

Very, VERY well done. It goes to show; put in the hard yards, and with a bit of decent fortune, incredible things can be done.

Onwards and downwards. :)

Well done. Great result so what you are doing is really working. Keep going.

Just great news for some lovely numbers all round.
Well done to you for applying yourself and getting the rewards.
Happy Happy Feet exactly.

Wow, that is a great transformation in such a short time.

Well done.

Yet more inspiration for us all to continue fighting the fight.

I am loving your regime, @Lindy1706 , and the results loving even more.
So much so, I might just copy you.
Well done!

Now there is a winning post if ever I saw one! Well done you, so proud of you and your commitment to make the lifestyle changes needed to beat diabetes.

And thanks for the mention, very touched.

Now off you go and have a glass of a big robust red to celebrate xx

Brilliant results - well done

Brilliant results, well done you and without medication. I think some would not believe it was possible. Now the long haul kicks in, to bring those figures down even further, I am sure you can do it and keep it there with your new habits. Have a great weekend.
