Thanks Zand. I was rather hoping for capsules. Although the size isn't too much of an issue with hold baggage, I'd rather limit the oily liquids, for fear of leakage.I use Eskimo-3 Brainsharp liquid from Nutri as my gut doesn't absorb the capsules well. It has a lemon flavour and is what my Naturopath recommended years ago.
They supply the capsules too. Thanks Zand. I was rather hoping for capsules. Although the size isn't too much of an issue with hold baggage, I'd rather limit the oily liquids, for fear of leakage.
Oh dear Zand, I have been a lazy bunny. Thanks! They supply the capsules too.

Thanks Shelley. I too watched the Holford presentation. It was that that galvanised the decision.I take Nordic wild fish oils inner vitality make I get from Amazon
I take two teaspoons OH takes four. We found capsule s we tried different make didn't work we mix our lemon flavoured fish oil with our kefir.
Edit just spotted you wanted capsules I did take this fish oil with us though to Norway ( coals to Newcastle) and Croatia and good seal and thick bottle but shows how much we felt it helped us. Hope you find right ones for you both.
Second Edit you asked how we decided dosage we started at recommended one teaspoon and upped it until noticeable difference. As it's fish oil we felt we could increase I also listened to a podcast from Patrick Holford - you Tube PHC 2023 conference and he recommends a higher dose for improving cognition and I could see it working 're OHs cognition combined with B12 drops.
Thanks. I’m not interested in having anything including D3. I have that already at excellent levels, plus we pause that whilst travelling as we get plenty of the natural stuff.I've tried a few in the past and generally try to hedge my bets by mixing it up a bit.
I'd recommend for you the one that I'm currently taking - Seven Seas Omega 3 Max Strength with Vitamin D.
It's £18.50 for 30 Capsules at Sainsbury's but currently on 3 for 2 offer.
I decided on dosing from the results of 'Omega 3 to Omega 6' testing that I've previously done. It's an expensive test but I think that everyone would find it enlightening. When it comes to DHA and EPA it's not a case of 'how much is too much?' but rather 'how much can you afford?'
After having a hip replacement due osteoarthritis I was told by my gp fish oil casual would help with joints. I took them for a while but thought they were a waste of money. I don’t take any supplements/vitamins at all.
For some reason any and all fish oil give me migraines, but actual fish doesn't, so... If you happen to be headed to a fishy area, maybe just enjoy the local cuisine, without risking oiling up your luggage.Firstly, playmates, I wish every one of you a happy and healthy New Year. May the best of '23 reflect the worst of '24.
Not, to business.
I know an increasing number of folks are taking fish oil supplements. In this hacienda, we feel it would be a good thing to do, to enhance the uptake of the B12 we are already taking (and seeing benefits). We're now running down to going away for a while, so time is limited in terms of choosing my "medicine", so I'm going to entrust you guys to share your wisdom.
Soooooooooooo, if you take thius supplement, which do you take, and how did you decide upon your dosing?
Sorry to be a pain, but life is busy right now!
We are heading for a coastal area - in fact a fishing village, but the waters they will be fishing are very commercial and quite polluted, so, we actually eat less fish there than at home. For some reason any and all fish oil give me migraines, but actual fish doesn't, so... If you happen to be headed to a fishy area, maybe just enjoy the local cuisine, without risking oiling up your luggage.(I have to have fish at least twice a week, or my vit D drops off a cliff.)
