Fish spas

Nice fish Ken but such a shame it was a 'dry' run - I was hoping to at least see your feet in there with them! :(

I went to have this done thurs with my friend who is non diabetic, having had gift vouchers brough at Xmas

I thought it was a strange if not unpleasant experience, would very much liken it to lots of mini static shocks although I only had a couple of fish on each foot. My friend however, had about 20 on each foot! She said it felt like bubbles but afterwards she complained her feet felt like they were on fire whereas mine felt the same as before.

Did it once for the experiencem but doubtful I would do it again

Yes, I do agree with you too. I wouldn't put my feet in one of those.

When my children were little we used to go treading for flatties which entailed walking along in the shallows in Morcambe Bay and when you felt a flat fish wriggle under your foot you stamped down hard and then bent down to pick up your fish.I never caught anything  if any thing wriggled under my foot I was off  Dont think I would like the fish spas.

I have just read that in Switzerland (and I am sure elsewhere) they are going to have a "fish bath" where the fish can nibble at your whole body  Yuck!

I went past one of these fish spas in a shopping centre today. The people with their feet in the water looked incredibly bored and not enjoying themselves. There were four people with their feet in one spa. I just didn't fancy it.

They are going to talk about fish spas on BBC Breakfast this morning...

They have just talked about fish spas. They had a small tank in the studio to demonstrate. Apparently the fish don't bite because they don't have any teeth. They just suck then use an enzyme which makes your feet nice and soft. The water is changed twice a day. Before you put your feet in the water your feet are checked for open wounds etc.

My husband said "better than having your toes bitten off by your dog"
