Fitness/Athletic Teams Needed All 'Types'

Re: Looking for interest in a team Type1

That's brill Andrew, looking forward to it :)

Hi All.

Have relocated this thread into here for you all...

Given the topic and posts its better located and ideally suited here.

With andrews agreement - title changed to include 'All Types' so all
can participate in this.

What a brilliant topic and thread

Hi Andy,
This is something i would be really interested in, and have thought about setting up myself, but with other commitments at the moment havent had the time to pursue any further.
I was diagnosed type one last year age 32, and as a fit active person it came as quite a shock. Love all sport but keen on swimming and cycling, have a back problem so running is to concussive.
Got straight back in the pool as soon as i could after diagnoses, but there is definately a lack of knowledge and help for active type ones in this country. Would be awesome to compete as part of a type one team.
Fantastic idea  , count me in and keep me posted.
Am in Cornwall at the moment but hoping to return to education as a mature student and start a physiotherapy degree in september.
Keep up the good work
Em.

All you Type 2's feeling left out? I'm cycling from London to Brighton this year on 9th June, why not join me? Its hard work but most ages can join as long as you are prepared to do some training and have a bike (!) :)

This sounds like a good idea and something I'd be interested in. Coincidently I'm looking at entering transpennine walk in June from Manchester to Sheffield. Its a 100km or short version 50km. Wondered if anyone got advice for such an event. Am t1 using pump.
