Hi guys,
Not sure where to put this so thought I'd put it here. Long story I'll try to make short. My OH is in the navy, and was on deployment supposed to be back for xmas, only 2 weeks before his return I was informed he wouldn't return until this year, so as you can imagine I was pretty upset. I live in a navy community, with limited support. The diabetes care up here isn't as good as what I had back home. 10 days after that letter I had a fit, which I assumed was a diabetic seizure, although I had no hypo symptoms. I've been on a pump for 4 years (diabetic for 21) and this is the first time this has happened.
Since then, I almost had a fit again, having a severe hypo in asda. My sugars have not been the same since, and have been going from 16-20 to 3-4 in the space of an hour. I've tried multiple basals, temp basalt. editing my carb factor, literally everything I can. Today I had enough and called the DSN, who didn't have a clue what to do. Has anyone ever had this before? I get this feeling which I can only summise is anxiety whenever I am in a shop, as I was on my own in a shop when I fit. But the strange thing is, apparently I wouldn't let no one put anything in my mouth, yet when the ambulance got there 6 mins after I started fitting, my BG was 5.3. Just wanted to see if anyone had any advice or tips, or had experienced this before.
Thanks,
Joe.
