Is it ok to drink Coke Zero/Pepsi max and other zero sugar fizzy s?

You just need to check the carb count. Just because it says ‘no added sugar”, “sugar free” or “zero sugar” that doesn’t mean there aren’t naturally occurring sugars such as fruit. Pepsi Max and Coke Zero are 0 carb.

As always -it depends! Sugar substitutes should not raise your blood sugar. However some of us find that it can provoke the desire for actual sugar and since I stopped taking aspartame I have found my desire to snack has diminished. The trouble is, it is very difficult to sort out actual happenings from psychological effects. If you can avoid it, I would, but if it is a real source of eating pleasure, then from the evidence of studies on artificial sweeteners I doubt it does much harm.

I completely stopped drinking Pepsi, Coke, Diet Coke and Coke Zero.

But if I want to enjoy a fizzy drink, I buy carbonated water and add Xylitol with either slices of lemon, fresh mint or strawberry or plum or pomegranate seeds instead.

Its so much healthier and guilt free!

I've tried to educate my taste buds to do without sweet... and it has surprised me how quickly some regular foods items now taste sweeter than they ever did... broccoli is near impossible to eat as it can be too sweet.

I found that the carbonated water (Tesco’s own) had sugar so now have one of those water bottles where you put fruit in the middle. And much more refreshing. Had a real Diet Coke addiction so now only occasionally have a Coke zero but my partner saw an article on sugar substitutes and said it maybe worse for
me and said I should cut it out completely

Please check the label at the back of packaging for carb and sugar content even with fizzy water!
