Floaters in my eyes

Is there anyone here who has the same thing
this happened to me a lot whene my blood sugar was too high
I thought it was a normal thing because of diabetes and it has completely disappeared a while
but yesterday it happened again is this from diabetes

Hi, flashes and floaters are not really caused by high blood sugar levels. They come with getting older but some people get them and some just don't.

Plenty of info about them on Google and an optician will be able to give an info sheet. Don't worry atm but keep an eye out if you feel that your vision is getting much worse because of the floaters. If this happens, go to A & E at a hospital so that an eye specialist will see you.

Yeah they are annoying. I have floaters and a flashes in the corner of my eye.

I went to the optician straight away and they checked my eyes thoroughly and did a full retinal exam and they found no issues.
They're extremely common.

It causes blurry vision
I hope my eyes getting better quickly

Had heaps of these when my mince pies were healing from retinopathy and macular edema after bilateral laser treatment and anti-VEGF injections. Very distracting but nothing to worry about, generally speaking.

Hi @HICHAM_T2 are you in the UK? I get these when I work on the computer a lot and my optician recommended Hyco San Dual, the purple box. It seems to help.

I had this a few weeks ago, and the advice is to go straight to A&E, as it can be a symptom of a detached retina, which is potentially very serious. An untreated detached retina will eventually result in blindness.
The eye doctors at A&E said I had done exactly the right thing, I'm surprised your optician didn't tell you the same. The flashers especially are worrying.
I found that I had a detached aqueous, which is not as serious, but will have to be monitored.
Please go to A&E.

I also had a floater earlier this year. Mine did not affect my eye sight at all. I went straight to the optician who gave my eyes a thorough examination. He said he thought it was just a common floater and nothing sinister, but because I was diabetic he referred me to the consultant eye specialist at the hospital eye clinic for a scan to be on the safe side. The consultant did the scan etc and pronounced it was a vitreous detachment, not a retinal detachment, discharged me with the assurance it was nothing at all to be concerned about.

However, you really need to get yours checked out by a specialist.

I had my eyes fully checked out. With full retina examination (dilation included.) And a year later (last week) visited the optician again and had my retinopathy exam and all good.

If I were the op I would visit an optician as a precaution but wouldn't worry about it.

Hi, SueJB yes, my work requires that I spend a lot of time in front of the computer screen to indicate I live in Morocco

Although I got the same problem for almost two years, but the problem completely disappeared until it suddenly appeared yesterday without reason

Just get yourself off to an optician, otherwise it is all guess work. He will need to have a good look behind your eyes. It is painless.

Thank you Madam I know it's painless I've needed to visit an ophthalmologist
I thought that diabetes had an effect on what was happening to me but not quite that it may be yes and may not be

Hi ,did you have retinopathy treatment and than after you developed these ? I've had retinopathy treatment in my left eye and my God there are thousands since had it done ,it's driving me crazy ? Is this a healing thing ? Please reply
