Hi all am I dreaming it or did I see something online about being allowed an extra carry on bag with some airlines

All airlines are different. Easyjet for example, is one item of hand luggage only.

Some airlines have allowances for weird and wonderful things such as musical instruments!?

The only way to be sure would be to check the airline in question's baggage policy. Otherwise, things may get unfortunate at the check in desk:)

@jackieiow & @GrantGam1337 EasyJet allow you an extra bag if it is for medication, when you book online ask for assistance, this ensures you will have no problems at check in. I usually take a wheely backpack and my big handbag

I never knew that, thanks for putting me right.

I did assume that we were talking general baggage here, but it's good to know that there are exceptions for medical supplies if needed:)

Has that changed recently @GrantGam1337 ? I usually fly Easyjet and I've been allowed to take an extra medical bag as hand luggage in addition to my normal hand luggage.

Edited to add - just saw your answer : )

@jackieiow Check with the airline you're flying with and see what their policy is :)

Check the airline's website and print out a copy of the page with the info. Not all staff are aware of their own rules as @Natalie1974 found out not long ago.
