Hi
Also placed this question in a different forum... So apologies for being thick!!

Jas anybody tried the fodmap diet that is recommended for IBS or slow colonic transit. (i have the latter)... If so does it work?

Thnx DDx

Hi,

I haven't heard of it, I'm afraid? What does it entail? Diets work differently for everyone so I would be tempted to say give it a go and see if you get results. No harm in trying :)

My gastro chappie did all tests concerning impacted farces. Barium enema, sigmoidoscopy etc etc. the shapes test came back as slow colonic transit due to where the shapes were still in my body.. After 5 days, I still hD 58 out of the 60 in me.
Gastro chappie did mention going to see Anton Emmanuel in London, but my stomach returned to being quite good for a few months after I gave up jelly babies. Unfortunately. It didn't last very long, and stomach now useless again.

Gastro chappie did not mention gastroparesis... To be honest, I dont know what the difference is.

With the impacted faeces, I do get chronic pain with it.

I think I will just have to give it a go from lists on the internet.
