... and it was GOOD!

It's really not my fault, it's my pathetic lack of will-power! I saw the TV advert for the new Magnum Double Peanut Butter ice cream bar and had an arrangement with myself that later in the Summer, when it's really hot, I'd try one and that would be my one ice cream for the Summer.

Today wasn't really that hot and it's not late in the Summer, but it was flippin' there in the supermarket - begging to come home with me and I caved. It was so yummy (horrifically sweet), but oooh, it was good! It was 23.76g of carbs good and I'm testing in 35 minutes to see what damage it's done to me. Wish me luck!

(I did buy one for my husband as well, do I get any Brownie points for that?)

Edited to get the name of the poisonous ice cream bar correct! See, cheating is NEVER good!

Well, 1.1 increase is no way to encourage me not to do THAT again, is it?! Result!

But, on a grown-up note, I know it's a one-off - I promise! ;-)

it could be worthwhile testing again in another 30 or 45 minutes, as the fat in the icecream and chocolate will have slowed any rise quite a bit. Sorry to rain on your BBQ.

Or I could be wrong!

Yes, you're right - I've got another test scheduled and am braced for impact!

Grown-up pants aren't fun, are they?!

Real ice cream is both low carb and healthy if you exclude any sugar from the recipe and/or use something like powdered erythritol or xylitol in its place. So Mr Google says: https://www.google.co.uk/#q=low+carb+peanut+butter+ice+cream
and you're allowed to say to me "get thee behind me S*t*n/Evil Woman...":D

Enjoy without guilt or any evidence of sinful acts!

Robbity

Oh, @Robbity, I flipping LOVE you - thank you!

Mind you, it's not for every day, ...is it? ;-P

You are forgiven. But as penance you must buy one for all of us!

Errrm, think I might have a teeny problem with that... I think we're on opposite sides of the world and it might be a bit of a squishy mess by the time it gets to you.

Of course, I never offer problems without solutions, so if it helps, I'll eat another one and think about you while I do it? Does that help?

I think it is a sin that I may be committing some time this summer too.
As a TOTAL one off, you understand :)

Good to know you are beating the path for me to follow in your footsteps. :D

OK - pre-naughtiness was 6.3, 2 hours = 7.4, 2.5 hours (and pre-dinner) = 6.2, 4 hours = 6.3, 5 hours (and post-dinner) = 5.8.

I think I got away with it! Woohoo!
Worth every mouthful lol....I treat myself quite often to a Morrisons own brand chocolate ice cream with almond flakes and it has not enough impact to cry about....was equally pleased and surprised to see such a low impact on BG levels ...thank you God thank you :)
